As a young woman it was: “Her ways were ways of gentleness and all her paths were peace.” As a WOW (Wise Old Woman) it is: “Her ways were ways of gentleness , all her paths were peace, she had a black belt and knew the value of self-defense, she used laughter to defuse anger, she championed the underdog, she did more good, than harm, she loved and was loved by many.
This topic addresses an important emotional fitness skill–knowing what matters. In the long run what matters most is not living the good life, but being a good person and following all the sages who say treat others the way you want to be treated. What matters is not what we own, what we look like, how bright we are, whether we meet our societies definition of success. What matters is how we cared for one another, for all living creatures, and for our world.
