Who in your daily world deserves to be recognized for promoting peace and good will?
No other people would offer so much for peace in the face of enemies repeatedly vowing to drive them into the sea. Terrorist rockets are fired into Israel almost daily. Israel has given back more land than most countries under attack, has taken in more oppressed people than any other country in the region. Until the British took over the Middle East, there was no country called Palestine, and when the land was divided, Jordan was to be the home for Arabs not willing to stay in Israel. Instead the monarchy refused to accept them. Finally, Israel has the capacity to destroy its enemies for over 50 years and have shown more restraint than any other country under daily threat of annihilation. If its enemies had that capacity, Israel would not exist.
