DAILY POST CHALLENGE

WISE UP. YOU HAVE A YEAR, ALL THE RESOURCES YOU NEED, CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT AS LONG AS IT MOVES YOU TOWARD BECOMING WISER.  WHAT’S YOUR PLAN.

Topic #308: If you had the resources to spend a year doing whatever you’d like, and you chose the goal of becoming wise, what would you do with the year?

So first a few thoughts about wisdom the hall-mark of the wise.  Wikipedia  says of wisdom:

Wisdom is a deep understanding and realization of people, things, events or situations, resulting in the ability to apply perceptions, judgements and actions in keeping with this understanding. It often requires control of one’s emotional reactions (the “passions“) so that universal principles, reason and knowledge prevail to determine one’s actions.

This spoke to me because  the heart of Emotional Fitness Training, Inc. lies in blending heart and head.  When feelings rule, trouble brews;  when thoughts rule, much is lost.

As to what I would do given a year and all the resources I wanted.  I would probably live the life I live now with less stress and more help and a few perks.  All the resources would mean no money stress.  All the resources would mean money to get a techie to do some of the time consuming stuff I do now, an editor to perfect my writing, household help to keep the dust bunnies from mating, a meal planner, shopper and occasional dinner preparer–I like cooking but not all the time.

The perks: I could  plan more  Being With Beauty. Laugh and Play time.  First with my family.  I  think we would all enjoy some tropical  island hoping.  Then a  cruise. but with the addition of extended family and   a group of very special friends.  Some of my gurus would be on board so there could be some formal learning time.

With all the help, even when Being with Beauty, Laugh and Play hours, I would be free to spend lots of time reading and writing, what I do now when my time is my own.

Ah to be among the more privileged 1%.

Still I am grateful for all I do have and all I have been able to do and enjoy.  I wish you all the same.

Share, care, and grow strong.
