I don’t like today’s challenge. Here it is: What’s the single most important thing you accomplished in 2010? And how do you plan to top it in 2011? (perhaps by completing your blogging challenge!)
I kept breathing, I kept writing, I kept caring, I kept trying to make the world better. I intend to continue to do the same all the ways I can and anyway I can.
Two things bothered me about the challenge. First, topping yourself is a huge corporate production device. Meet a corporate production goal and then top it and it becomes next years goal and it goes in and on. To be continually topping previously set goals leads to burn out. Good enough is good enough.
Second, if completing the blogging challenge is the most important thing you do, you need to question your values. Sorry but that really bothered me. I don’t blog to blog. I blog to share knowledge. I blog to share passion. I blog hoping to life the spirits any who read me. Blogging everyday is a challenged but not the challenge. Caring and continuing to care matters much more.
