WHERE DID I GROW UP? Media, Pennsylvania–so named because it was mid-way between the city of Philadelphia to the east and the town of West Chester to the west. A trolley line connecting Philadelphia and Media ends at State and First Streets. Once upon a time you could exit the trolley and walk through the green and white gate in to a shaded lawn and a brick path leading up to a white three-story colonial house that was my home for the first three years of my life. That paradise was paved over and turned into a parking lot. More at some other time. Stay strong.
