Given the hatred, extreme sadness, and despair that the election has brought forth, I am taking advantage of “Throw Back Thursday” and repeating this post. Stay strong. The sun still shines.
When you find yourself doing things you regret, you are most likely thinking too much with either your heart or your brain. Both types of thought drain wisdom. Too much heart and you act without thinking; too much thinking and you act without heart. Both are need and in partnership with each other.
Emotional Fitness Tips
Tip one: Know how thought twists.
Tip two: The more passion you feel, the more thought twists.
Tip three: The less passion you feel and the more you need to think about feelings.
Tip four: When thinking, look at oppositional points of view, not those you agree with.
Tip five: The experts on feeling management all agree, when pushed by a strong feeling to act, do not act or do the opposite of what the feeling is pushing you to do.
Tip six: Know what matters. Someone opinion on Facebook, matters less than most things. That said think of all the way those opinions twist our thoughts: emotional reasoning, joining the crowd, the blame game, and usually gross generalizations.

Disclaimer two: Take all advice even mine, carefully. Don’t just listen to your heart, but also think; don’t just think, listen to your heart. Heart and head working together increase the odds you will find useful advice amid all the promises and hopes pushed at you be others. As others have noted, take what seems useful, leave the rest.
Disclaimer two: Forgive my grammatical errors
If you need perfect posts, you will not find them here; I will understand if you don’t follow, like or share what like me. Not only am I dealing with an aging brain, but all of my life I have been plagued by dysgraphia–a learning disability, Some of my posts might be peppered with bad spelling, poor punctuation, and worse words that make no sense. If you want to hang in with me, thank you; you are kind. If a post doesn’t make sense or bugs you too much, stop reading, I will understand.
