Life Changing Eavesdropping

Daily Prompt: Hear No Evil Tell us about a conversation you couldn’t help but overhear and wish you hadn’t. Mine is one I am  glad I heard. Eventually lead to an emotional fitness (emotional intelligence exercise). A laugh first:
Cartoon about eavesdropping.

What changed my life: Not sure why the people talking didn’t see me and the fact is they might not have been talking about me. This was what I heard:

“Sad she doesn’t smile more, she lights up the room when she does.”

“I so agree.”

At that stage in my life I always tried not to smile.  I had and have an overbite, a fairly big one, so I tried to hide it.  Back then with the ego-centrism of a teen, I assumed I was the topic of conversation.  Lucky me, for I took it to heart and smiled freely thereafter.

To make a difference, a smile  has to be genuine.   With a bit of practice your smiles can always be genuine.  It all depends on where you put your thoughts. Thought control is key in developing your emotional intelligence.

Here is an EFTI Poster Coach, called Strong Body and Soft Face.  Both are Emotional Fitness Exercises that keep you the boss of mad, bad, or sad feelings. r.
