Daily Post Prompt: Is it easy for you to ask for help when you need it, or do you prefer to rely only on yourself? We and all the world needs help. This prompt fits in with my Jewish New Year prayer.
As my Shana Tova prayer indicates also when asking for help, each of us must do all we can on our own to get what we pray for. The Jews are expected to devote their lives to “Repairing Universe.” As much as all pray for peace, the Creator of all things seems to be leaving that up mostly to we humans.
One of my beliefs is that the Creator’s concept of mercy and justice lies in giving all people an opportunity to create peace on earth. As one of the Creator’s attributes is timelessness, for us humans that seem eternal.
I keep hope alive with a saying of my mothers “God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perfrom.”
Stay strong, ask for help, pray for peace anyway you can, every where you can, and do your part.
I will be off-line at the end of today, until Saturday night or Sunday morning.
