Daily Prompt: Green-Eyed Lady We all get jealous from time to time — what wakes the green-eyed monster for you?
I chose this cartoon because success is never a one person show.
I have big dreams, work hard, but have had no monetary success when it comes to Emotional Fitness Training, Inc. – what I think of as my third child. What wakens the Green Eyed Monster in me? The success of those who have the money needed to do things like hire editors, illustrators, web masters, and publicists. These have a team and I don’t. I am a woman alone in my efforts.
My green eyes glow stronger when celebrities act like experts telling the rest of us how easy it is to do this or that.
Enough time on my pity-pot.
Staying emotionally strong
I combat the Green-eyed monster by practicing what I preach. I practice all the Daily Twelve Easy Exercises every day and over and over again. I start the day being grateful for all I have been given. I go through my day thanking people; I know my mission; I laugh and play, seek beauty; I honor those who gift me; I indulge in healthy pleasures; I move my body.
I also remind myself jobs are what you are paid to do. Although I would love to be better paid, life is about doing what you love to do when, where ever, and however you can. I am grateful I can do all I do whether or not monetary success comes to me and Emotional Fitness Training.
So pursue your passions and hope for a little bit of luck along the way.
Thank you all for all you do to care and share with others. Doing a little matters a lot. Doing more matters more.
