As all the sages across all the ages and as today’s researchers know practicing kindness is the express lane to the good life.

STAYING EMOTIONALLY STRONG

Being kind to others matters, but you also need to be kind to you.  You alone know what you put up with, what silent suffering you endure, how hard some days you work just to keep putting one foot in front of the other, how often you turn from  cruelty and keep practicing kindness.   That is one way to be kind to you

Other ways to be kind to yourself?  Care carefully for your physical needs.  Indulge in healthy pleasures, be with people who care, be with beauty, be alone, and thank and praise your self.

Thank you for all you do. Like if you did; share if you think another will find this useful. That will be practicing kindness  for me and for you if not another.

  3. Well, I like being kind enough to others to go out on the streets in an anti-war march, or a rally for our hard-working immigrant friends, who just want a chance to become citizens. I feel kind to them — and to myself — when I join in on such events because I like these activities feel good. So it’s a little complicated — being kind to yourself and not just to others.
