STAYING STRONG TIP: No matter what your beliefs about a higher power, a day devoted to a simpler life is strengthening. Doing so helps you remember what matters.
I am so grateful that I am in the habit of taking a day to live with less rush and bother. I am also grateful for a day that focuses my thinking on what matters. To me that means thinking about what matters, practicing forgiveness and kindness, not spending money, no other commercial ventures, shul, friends, nature. Create your own version, your life will improve.
PRACTICE KINDNESS: Don’t forget to thank all who do something for you. I love to thank clerks and wait people. I double my pleasure in doing so by adding a compliment.

I like the idea of resting days. I don’t go out to work so I don’t have a day defined like that, though I can, of course, rest when I need to.
I take the occasional day of doing the absolute minimum, and I always enjoy them.
I try to make my day of rest where I do only what I want. Important for us Mums and Wives and Grandmoms. Thank you for commenting.
