The article makes the point that doing good even in smalls ways such as practicing kindness to family, friends, neighbors, giving to a charity, volunteering your time to help another, strengthens you.  The article makes clear something I have learned from personal experience: the  more you practice kindness, the better your life.   Be selfish, be kind, stay strong.
