This Emotional Fitness Training® Poster Coach offers thoughts about facing danger and fears of being hurt.  All too often we run when it is not necessary.

Think before you run from fear.

Fears alert us to possible dangers. The key word is possible. As Tolstoy notes we need to use our thinking voices before acting on a fear-based voice telling you to  run. Denial, that very common way we calm fears, is a way we run from them.

For more about facing fears see the post Are You a Runaway?

Practicing one of the Easy Emotional Fitness Exercises  or  EFTI’s Self Soothing Exercises  helps quiet fear-based voices.

A reminder about this week’s  free book for parents. This one prompted me to think about how we all run away.  Here it is:  ‘When Good Kids Run Away‘ is free for five days this week from Wednesday 15th to Sunday 19th May.

It can be read on a Kindle or a computer using Amazon’s free reading apps. This book is based on a chapter from my  book ‘When Good Kids Do Bad Things – A Survival Guide for Parents of Teenagers‘.

For all you do to support me and to bring kindness to our world, thank you. You help me Stay Strong.
